Why a 12-month commitment?

Building a quality website takes real time and effort. The 12-month commitment lets me invest that time into doing it right. After 12 months, it converts to month-to-month and you're free to cancel with 30 days notice.

What happens if I cancel?

After the 12-month commitment, you own the site. Cancel with 30 days notice and I'll hand over all the files. Your domain is always yours. I'll make the transition as smooth as possible.

What if I cancel before 12 months?

If you cancel early, the remaining balance of the 12-month commitment is due. For example, if you cancel at month 6, you'd owe the remaining 6 months. This protects the time I've already invested in your project.

Do I own the website?

During the 12-month commitment, I retain ownership and you have full rights to use it. Once you complete the commitment, ownership transfers to you automatically. You always own your domain. I'll never hold that hostage.

What about updates after launch?

Text changes, new photos, adding a service, seasonal tweaks. All part of the plan. If you need something updated, just email me. I'm not going to nickel and dime you for small stuff.

Major overhauls or adding a bunch of new pages would be scoped as a separate project. But for normal ongoing changes? You're covered.

How fast do edits get done?

Most small updates are completed within 2-3 business days. Larger requests like new pages or sections typically take 1-2 weeks.

All edit requests need to be submitted via email. This keeps everything documented and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.

What if I need more than 5 pages?

Most small businesses don't need more than 5, but if yours does, we'll work it out. We'll figure out the right scope during our discovery call. I'm not going to upsell you on pages you don't need.

What's included in hosting?

Fast, secure hosting with SSL certificates, daily backups, and uptime monitoring. I handle all the technical stuff so you don't have to think about it.

Do you build e-commerce sites?

I focus on service-based businesses with brochure-style sites. If you need a full online store with inventory, shopping carts, and payment processing, that's a different scope. Reach out and we can talk about whether it's a fit.

How long does it take to build a site?

Most sites launch in 2-3 weeks from when we kick off. I'll give you a specific timeline during our discovery call based on your project's scope.

What do you need from me?

Your logo files (whatever format you have), a few photos if you have them, and answers to some questions about your business. Need help with content? I offer professional copywriting services to get your site launched faster.

What if I'm not happy with the design?

We do two rounds of feedback during the build process. First round is for the overall direction. If it's way off, we adjust. Second round is for the details. By the time we launch, you'll be happy with it.
